Mrs. Jessie Sloan

Mrs. Jessie Sloan, 92, of Burlington, died at the Park Manor nursing home early Wednesday morning, July 1. She had been ill since January.

Mrs. Sloan was born June 16, 1878 in Keosauqua, the daughter of Henry H. and Lucy E. Moore Disbrow, and married Robert E. Sloan in Keosauqua April 27, 1903. He died May 1, 1961.

Surviving are one son, Robert H. Sloan, and one daughter, Elizabeth Sloan, both of Burlington; two grandsons and five great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. Friday in the Catcott Funeral Home at Keosauqua. The Rev. Millard Marshall, pastor of the Congregational Church officiated. Burial was in Purdom Cemetery at Keosauqua.
