Ronald Dewayne Hootman, 13, died Saturday, July 11 at 10:10 p.m. at University Hospitals in Iowa City.

He was taken to Iowa City following a motorcycle train vehicle crash on a train track near Douds July 1.

He was born Aug. 15, 1956 in Fairfield, the son of Dewayne and Wilma Tonkinson Hootman. He was a student at Fairfield Junior High School and attended First Christian Church.

Survivors include his parents; one sister, Sherry, at home; grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Hootman of Fairfield and Mrs. William Tonkinson of Birmingham.

The service was held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 14 at the First Christian Church in Fairfield, the Rev. Ned C. Gillum officiating. Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery.
