Mrs. Axel Hamberg

Mrs. Clara Hamberg, 91, of Pulaski died Thursday, July 2 at 7:20 p.m. at Bloomfield Silver Haven.

She was the daughter of Ezra and Sarah Patton Brooks, born in Holden, Mo., Dec. 18, 1878. Her husband, Axel, died in 1935.

Surviving are six daughters, Mrs. Mernon Gandy of Bloomfield, Mrs. Audrey Ahlberg of Golden, Colo., Mrs. Alta Breckenridge of California, Mrs. Lucille Edwards of Watsonville, Calif., Mrs. Doris Wheaton of Pulaski, Mrs. Cheryl Scotten of Farmington; and sons, Carl Hamberg of Farmington and Edgar Hamberg of Amana. There are 31 grandchildren and 75 great-grandchildren. She also leaves a sister, Mrs. Margaret Roden of Burlington.

The service was held Monday, July 6 at 10:30 a.m. at Priester Funeral Chapel, conducted by the Rev. Robert Allen of Bloomfield Christian Church. Burial was at 2:30 p.m. in Center Grove Cemetery at Kirkwood, Ill.
