Robert R. Huff

Robert R. Huff, of El Segundo, Calif., passed away on June 22, 1970, in Inglewood, Calif., after an illness of 4 1/2 months.

Born in Bentonsport, Iowa, July 27, 1903, son of Wm. V. and Lucy Gillaspie Huff. He spent his childhood near Bentonsport and Bonaparte. He was married to Mary W. Shaffer on Dec. 24, 1926 and moved to Cedar Rapids, Iowa, where he had employment with Link Belt Speeder Corp., for a number of years, later with La Plant Choats Mfg. Co., Allis Chalmers, for more than 20 years, before moving to California, where he was employed by North American Rockwell for 14 years, was retired in 1967 because of ill (heath).

Mr. Huff was a member of the First Congregational Church of Cedar Rapids.

Surviving besides his wife, Mary, are two daughters, Bonnie D. Conroy and Sandra L. Aurelius, five grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, one brother, William of Zephyr Hills, Fla., one sister, Louise Pratt of DeWitt, Iowa.

Besides his parents, three sisters and two brothers, preceded him in death.

Funeral services were held in the Douglass Memory Chapel, El Segundo, with the Rev. Ray Firth officiating, 1:00 P.M., June 25. Burial was in Pacific Crest Memorial Park, Redondo Beach.

Mr. Huff was affectionately called "Pappy" by all his fellow workers, neighbors and friends and will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
