Leo (Dick) Winnike

Leo (Dick) Winnike, 70, of West Point, died Sunday, June 14, at 11 p.m. at home. He had been in failing health the past eight months.

He was the son of Joseph and Mary Lohman Winnike born Mar. 30, 1900 at West Point and was a lifelong resident.

Mr. Winnike was a bachelor. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic church, West Point, the Holy Name Society, Knights of Columbus West Point Council, and was a past trustee of St. Mary's church.

Surviving are one brother, Herman Winnike, West Point; two sisters, Miss Emma Winnike of West Point and Mrs. Helen Delaney of El Paso, Texas.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and one sister.

The funeral service was held Wednesday, June 17, at 10 a.m. in St. Mary's church, West Point with the Rev. Martin officiating. Burial was in Calvary cemetery, West Point.

Recitation of the rosary was held Tuesday at 8 p.m. by the parish followed by the Holy Name Society and the Knights of Columbus.

Link Funeral Home, West Point, was in charge of arrangements.
