Mrs. Pearl Lee

Mrs. Pearl Ida Lee, 82, of Salem, died at the Henry County hospital, Wednesday, June 3, at 4 p.m.

She was born at Hillsboro, Aug. 13, 1887, the daughter of Herman and Vileta Schulz, and married John Lee at Hillsboro, Sept. 6, 1906. He died Jan. 31, 1963.

Surviving are five daughters, Mrs. Irene Baily and Mrs. Dallas Swan, both of Fairfield, Mrs. Carl Johnson, Birmingham, Mrs. Pearl Septer and Mrs. Orville McDowell both of Salem; four sons, Elmer Lee, Mt. Pleasant, Harry Lee, Lockridge, John Lee, Jr., St. Joseph, Mo., and Lloyd Lee, Mount Ayr.; two sisters, Mrs. Grace Hugg Burlington, and Mrs. Ben Harlan, Florida; a brother, John Schulz, Stockport; 30 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.

The funeral was held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday at the Salem Friends Church, with the Rev. Waylen Brown officiating. Interment was at the Hillsboro Cemetery.
