Mrs. Ellis Rail

Mrs. Inez Rail, 86, died Friday, May 1 at Ojai, Calif. She was a former Fairfield and Van Buren County resident.

She was born May 18, 1883, the daughter of Joseph and Ella Tower Clark. She was married Oct. 10, 1917 to Ellis Rail. He died Oct. 7, 1956. She was a member of the Fairfield United Methodist Church.

Survivors include one daughter, Elizabeth Shoemaker of Omaha; three sons, Clark of Long Beach, Calif., Robert of Ojai, Calif. and Paul of Fort Dick, Calif.; 13 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
The funeral service was held Tuesday, May 5 at United Methodist Church at Fairfield conducted by the Rev. Wilson Hyde. Cremation followed with committal at Mount Moriah Cemetery near Douds.
