Mrs. Eva Weaver

Mrs. Eva Weaver, 94, former Birmingham resident, died Tuesday, April 7, about 2:30 p.m. at St. Luke hospital, Cedar Rapids.

For the past 10 years Mrs. Weaver had lived with a son-in-law and daughter in Cedar Rapids, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Kirby.

She was born May 6, 1875, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Stepp, and married Charles E. Weaver Jan. 25, 1895. he died in 1948. Mrs. Weaver was an honorary member of both the Birmingham Women's Society of Christian Service and the American Legion auxiliary.

Surviving are five sons, Rex, Leonard, Harold and James, all of Birmingham, and Fred of Fairfield; two daughters, Mrs. Kirby of Cedar Rapids and Mrs. Belle Simpkins of Birmingham; 21 grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Anna Chamberlain, El Paso, Texas.

Funeral service was held Friday, April 10 at 1 p.m. at the Birmingham United Methodist church with the Rev. Dwight Bonham officiating. Burial was in the Spencer cemetery, near Stockport.
