Paul R. Lowery

Paul Robert Lowery, 48, of Farmington, died Wednesday, Jan. 14, at 12:01 p.m. in the Veterans hospital, Iowa City after a long illness. He had been seriously ill three months.

He was born April 9, 1921 near Farmington, the son of Lonnie and Nellie Dorothy Lowery.

In February of 1947 at St. Patrick, Mo. he married Veronica Strabala, who survives.

A lifelong resident of Farmington, he was employed as an electrician at the Iowa Army Ammunition Plant, Burlington. He was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers. He was a veteran of World War II.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by one son, Richard, of Farmington; two daughters, Mrs. William (Judy) Tade and Paula Jo Lowery, both of Farmington; his father, Lonnie Lowery of Farmington; two brothers, Glenn Lowery of West Branch and Raymond Lowery of Bonaparte; two sisters, Mrs. Kenneth (Gladys) Muntz and Mrs. Gene (Mabel) Medaris, both of Farmington; and one grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his mother and one brother.

The funeral service was Friday, Jan. 16, at 11 a.m. in Miller's Home for Funerals at Farmington with the Rev. William F. Wiebler of Farmington officiating. Burial was in Greenglade cemetery.
