Mrs. Lyda Pfister

Miss Lyda Pfister, 91, of Farmingtonton(err) died Monday, Jan. 19, at 12:55 A.M. in Sacred Heart Hospital, Fort Madison.

She was born Feb. 19, 1878 at Germanville, Ia., the daughter of Rudolph Albert and Henrietta Paul Pfister.

She spent most of her life in Farmington and for 50 years she worked in Miller's dry goods store, first as clerk and later as owner-operator.

She is survived by one sister, Mrs. W.M. Smith of Ft. Madison, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by two sister and two brothers.

Funeral service was held on Wednesday at 1:30 P.M. in Miller's Home for Funerals in Farmington with the Rev. Robert Rotgers of Ft. Madison officiating. Burial in Farmington Cemetery.
