Henry E. McCoy

Waterloo, N.Y. - Henry E. McCoy, 58, of Disinger Rd., RD 3, Waterloo, N.Y., died at his home Oct. 12 following an extended illness.

Memorial services were held at 3 P.M. Thursday, Oct. 16 from First Presbyterian Church of Waterloo. The Rev. Eugene P. Degitz, pastor, officiated. The body was cremated.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Heart Fund, Eisenhower College, or to the Memorial Fund of First Presbyterian Church, Waterloo.

A native of Birmingham, Iowa, Mr. McCoy was born July 1, 1911, the son of the late Hugh E. and Amelia Kerr McCoy. He was a graduate of Mynderse Academy Class of 1930, and attended Bentley School of Accounting and Finance in Boston, Mass. He was a dairy farmer for the past 32 years and owned and operated a farm on the Disinger Rd.

Active in community affairs, he was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Waterloo, a Town Councilman for the Town of Fayette for the past 16 years, a past president of the Seneca County Farm Extension Service, a member of the Seneca County Farm Bureau, the Seneca County Dairy Herd Improvement Assn. and the New York State Cattle Breeders Assn. He had served as a director of the Federal Land Bank for 11 years and also was a member of Seneca Investments.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Nellie Murray McCoy; four daughters, Mrs. John (Linda) Jahna, RD 1, Waterloo; Mrs. John (Judy) Brignall, RD 3, Waterloo; Mrs. Thomas (Norma) Smith, RD 3, Waterloo and Miss Mary McCoy of Rochester; two brothers, Geo. C Spraker of Aurora and Mark B. of Keosauqua, Iowa; a sister, Mrs. Robert (Gladys) Whitaker of Geneva; four grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
