Russell R. Woods

Russell Robert Woods, a Cedar Rapids resident for 15 years and sales manager for United Van Lines, died Saturday, Aug. 30 following a long illness. Born Feb. 23, 1906 at Farmington, he was married to Ruth McCoy on Oct. 4, 1928, at Des Moines. He was a veteran of World War II.

Surviving, in addition to his wife, are a daughter, Rebecca Ruth Woods, at home; a brother, Francis L. Woods of Farmington, and a sister, Mary Saltzgaver of Keokuk.

He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles and Empire Lodge 269, A.F. and A.M.

Memorial services: Turner's East at 10:30 Tuesday in Cedar Rapids by the Rev. John M. Hardy of the First Christian church. Burial was in Greenglade cemetery at Farmington at 1:30 with military rites conducted by Robert Hambright.
