Dee W. Spearman

Funeral services for Dee w. Spearman, 73, Salem, were held from the Beatty Funeral Chapel in Salem on Wednesday, Aug. 13, 1969 at 2:00 P.M. with Rev. Waylen Brown, pastor of the Salem Friends Church officiating. Mr. Spearman entered into rest on Aug. 11, 1969 at Henry County Memorial Hospital, Mt. Pleasant, Iowa.

Music was provided by Mrs. Gordon Watts, organist.

Casket escorts were Leo Craig, Francis Trueblood, Stan Waterman, Edgar Hartley, Arlo foss and Ben Allred.

Interment was in Pleasant Hill Cemetery.

He was born Feb. 22, 1896 near Mt. Pleasant the son of Frank and Gertrude Wyman Spearman.

On Nov. 4, 1917 he was married to Anna Farr at Mt. Pleasant.

Survivors include his wife, one son, Russell Spearman, Sac City; two daughters, Mrs. Sam (Nina) Stevens, Hillsboro, and Mrs. Gilbert (Marceline) Nihart, Escondido, Calif.; 15 grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Maude Collins, Kirksville, Mo.; a step-sister, Mrs. Harold King, Mt. Pleasant, and stepmother, Mrs. Lila Spearman, Mt. Pleasant.
