Mrs. Orville Hemm

Mrs. Lela Hemm, 72, died Wednesday, Aug. 6, at 11 A.M. at Van Buren County Memorial Hospital.

She was born in Davis County, on Feb. 18, 1897, the daughter of Will Archer and Bertha Moughler. She has resided in Davis and Van Buren Counties most of her life. She moved to Keosauqua nine years ago. She married Orville Hemm on June 16, 1914. She is a member of the Keosauqua Christian Church.

Surviving are one son, Raymond of Keosauqua; three daughters, Miss Erma Hemm of Downing, Mo., Mrs. Blanche Huffman of Drakesville and Mrs. Ruth McVey of Ottumwa; two sisters, Miss Ola Archer of Clinton and Mrs. Lola Fritz of Davnport.

She was preceded in death by both her parents and husband.

Funeral services were Friday, Aug. 8, at 2:30 P.M. at the Keosauqua Christian Church, conducted by the Rev. Howard McPeake. Interment was in Fellows Cemetery.
