Mrs. Vida Dick

Funeral services for Mrs. Vida Dick, 87, Hillsboro, were held from the Beatty Funeral Chapel in Salem on Saturday, July 5, 1969 at 2:00 P.M. with Rev. Kenneth Hardin, pastor of the Sharon Presbyterian Church officiating. Mrs. Dick entered into rest on Thursday afternoon, July 3rd at Memorial Hospital, Mt. Pleasant, Iowa.

Music was provided by Mrs. Gordon Watts, organist, and Mrs. Delmar burton, soloist.

Casket escorts were Kenneth Miller, Herbert Payne, William Moore, Glenn Miller, Kenneth Moore and Hugh Logan.

Interment was in the Clay Grove Cemetery, rural Donnellson.

Mrs. Dick was born Dec. 31, 1881 at LaCrew, Iowa, the daughter of Walter and Sarah Dickens Shampnoi.

On Nov. 30, 1902 she was married to Sam Dick, who preceded her in death in April, 1960. Mrs. Dick was a lifetime resident of the Hillsboro community.

She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Alberta Jesberg, Farmington, Iowa; one son, Mr. Res Dick, Ft. Madison; two sisters, Miss Mae Shampnoi, Donnellson, and Mrs. Hazel Pratt, Fairfield; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Also preceding her in death were two sons, James Walter, Kenneth A.; three sisters, two brothers and one great-granddaughter.
