Mrs. Clair Saltzgaver

Mrs. Winifred I. Saltzgaver, 45, of Croton, died suddenly Friday, July 4 at 4 p.m. near the Des Moines River at Croton.

She was born April 12, 1924 at Mercer county, Ill., the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Glen Reason.

She married Clair Saltzgaver on July 5, 1942 at San Diego, Calif. and he survives.

She was formerly employed by National Research, Burlington, and the Lee County Farm Bureau at Donnellson.

In addition to her husband, she is also survived by her mother, Mrs. Hazel Reason of Croton; one sister, Mrs. Cecil Christy of Keithsburg, Ill.; and one brother, Kent Reason of Croton.

She was preceded in death by her father in 1963 and a brother.

The funeral service was held Monday, July 7 at 2 p.m. at the Farmington United Methodist church, with the Rev. Edward Maus officiating. Burial was in Croton cemetery.

Miller's Home for Funerals in Farmington was in charge of arrangements.
