Funeral services for Mark Wesley Hoaglin, 76, Hillsboro, Iowa were held Monday, June 9 at 2:00 p.m. from the Hillsboro Baptist Church with Rev. Levi Winfrey, pastor of the church, officiating. Music was provided by Mrs. Vinton Hoaglin, organist. Interment was in the Hillsboro Cemetery. Casket escorts were Byron Church, Earl Barton, Phil Hixson, William Whitaker, Burch Boley and Robert Hanson. Honorary casket escorts were Boyd Holt and Stanley Howard.

Mr. Hoaglin departed this life at Memorial Hospital, Mt. Pleasant, Iowa, about 12:30 p.m. Saturday, June 7, 1969 where he had been a patient a week.

Mr. Hoaglin was born July 12, 1892 at Hillsboro, Iowa, the son of Charles F. and Melissa Boley Hoaglin. On Nov. 8, 1944 he was married to Clara Meugniot at Hillsboro.

A retired livestock raiser and farmer, he had been a resident of the Hillsboro community his entire life. He was a member of the Hillsboro Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife; five brothers, Harry Hoaglin, Clyde Hoaglin, C.F. Hoaglin and Frank Hoaglin, all of Hillsboro, and William Hoaglin of Mt. Pleasant; one sister, Mrs. L.T. Harlan of Hillsboro; nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Joe Hoaglin.
