Mary R. Holt

Mary R. Holt, daughter of William and Catherine Evans Reese, was born March 21, 1889 and died Thursday, June 5, 1969 at the Van Buren County Memorial Hospital in Keosauqua, Iowa.

She graduated in Nursing from Ottumwa Hospital in 1913 and did nursing in private homes as well as hospital duty for many years.

In June 1931 she was united in marriage to Frank Robinson. They made their home in the Milton area where she was lived ever since.

In June of 1957 she was married to Perry Holt. Both husbands preceded her in death, as did her parents, one brother and one sister.

Survivors include one brother, Luther Reese of Ottumwa, Iowa; one niece, one nephew, other relatives and many friends.

She was a member of the Milton United Methodist Church and as long as health permitted, had been active in church and community activities.

Services were held Saturday, June 7 at the Milton United Methodist Church with Rev. Herbert E. Phillips officiating. Burial was in Sunnyside Cemetery. Wellborn Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
