Mrs. Erle Layman

Mrs. Erle (Carrie) Layman, 81, of Farmington, died Friday, June 6 at 1:30 p.m. in Van Buren County Memorial hospital, Keosauqua.

She was born July 21, 1887 near Kilbourne, the daughter of Alvin and Lucy Workman Winslow. She grew up in Birmingham.

On Nov. 19, 1919 in Birmingham, she married Erle Layman. He survives.

She was a member of the United Methodist church at Mt. Zion. She moved to Farmington in 1959.

Surviving in addition to her husband; one son, William W. Layman of Missoula, Mont.; and two grandchildren.

The funeral service was held Tuesday, June 10, at 2 p.m. in the Birmingham United Methodist church. Burial was in Maple Hill cemetery at Birmingham.

Catcott Funeral Home, Keosauqua, was in charge of arrangements.
