Robert L. Harryman

Robert L. Harryman, 42, of Gardena, Calif., formerly of Douds, died of a heart attack Friday afternoon at a Fullerton, Calif., hospital.

He was a traveling agent for the Internal Revenue Service and was stricken while at work.

The son of Dewey and Rowena Morrow Harryman, he was born July 16, 1926, near Douds. He graduated from Burlington High School and the State University of Iowa at Iowa City. He served with the Army in Korea during that conflict.

He had been with the Revenue Service since 1960, transferring from Kewanee, Ill., to California in 1962.

Surviving are his widow, the former Patricia Lyons of Burlington; two daughters, Krista Kay and Kimberly Clarke, both at home; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Dewey Harryman of Douds; three brothers, Donald of Douds, Francis of Paramount, Calif., and Carl of Gardena, Calif.; and one sister, Mrs. Stanley Cosby of Burlington.

The body will be brought to the Pedrick Funeral Home in Douds.
