Mrs. Pearl Lind

Pearl Millen Lind was born Jan. 23, 1877, in Brashear, Mo., and departed this life at the Silver Have Rest Home in Bloomfield, Iowa, on May 29, at the age of 92.

She was the oldest child of Perry D. and Minnie J. Holloway, she was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Hollis and Ray also two sisters, Ada and Mabel.

She was educated in Missouri schools and taught for two or more years prior to her marriage. On September 4, 1898, she was united in marriage to D.A. Miller, who died in 1941. To this union were born two children, Joe of Milton and Charlotte Yancey of Wichita, Kans.

On Oct. 5, 1950, she married Pearley M. Lind, Christian Church Minister of Queen City, Mo., who died in 1952. While a girl she united with the Christian Church at Canton, Mo., and was a very active worker in her church until the summer of 1966. For 72 years she was a member of Chapter A.D. P.E.O. in Milton.

She is survived by her son and daughter, grandson, two great-grandchildren, a daughter-in-law and son-in-law, nieces, nephews and friends.

The funeral was Saturday, May 31, at 2 p.m. at Wellborn Funeral Home with the Rev. James McKean officiating. Burial was in Sunnyside Cemetery.

Casket bearers were Earl Carpenter, Richard Hanna, Robert Dugger, M.W. Roberts, Jack Sell, and Bragg Pickett.
