Raymond Savage

Raymond Oscar Savage, 50, 2020 Ridge Row, Burlington, died at his home at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, May 17, 1969.

He was born April 23, 1919, in Wyaconda, Mo., the son of Glenn and Rose McDaniel Savage. He married Dorothy Engle Aug. 17, 1935, in Burlington.

Mr. Savage was an insulator at the IAAP and was a member of Kaaba Shrine, AF&AM of Fairfield, Southeast Shrine club and a World War II veteran.

Surviving are his wife; three sons, Donald of Hillsboro, Ia., Ronald of 2016 Ridge Row, and Bobby of Lockridge Rt. 3; one daughter, Beverly Carver of Lockridge; his mother, Mrs. Rose Nelson of Burlington; two sisters, Mrs. Madelyn Higbee of Davenport, Mrs. Glenna Baldwin of Burlington; 10 grandchildren.

Services were held Tuesday, May 20 at 1:30 p.m. at the Elliott-Lunning chapel, Rev. John Ziegler officiating. Burial was in Memorial Park cemetery. Masonic rites were held at 7:30 p.m. Monday.
