Graveside services were held at Fellows Cemetery at Keosauqua at 4 p.m. Monday for Mrs. Thelma Madden, 66, of Hollandale, Minn., a former Van Buren County resident, who died Saturday, May 3. The Rev. Millard Marshall of the Keosauqua Congregational Church officiated. Catcott Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

The daughter of J.L. and Gertie Bowman Gwinnup, she was born at Mount Sterling, in July, 1902. She was married to Russell Madden in 1920. He was a depot agent for the Rock Island Railroad in Farmington, until moving to Hollandale several years ago.

Surviving are her husband; one daughter, Patricia Ann, at home; two brothers, Maurice Gwinnup of Keosauqua and Harold Gwinnup of Stockport; and one sister, Mrs. Charles Carter of Keosauqua.
