Mrs. Lucy F. Fisher

Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. Monday, May 5 at Stacy-Lewis Funeral Home in Columbus Junction for Mrs. Lucy F. Fisher, 87, who died Friday at Van Buren County Memorial Hospital. The rev. Howard McPeak officiated. Burial was in Columbus City Cemetery.

Mrs. Fisher had been a resident of Keosauqua the past two years and was a former longtime resident of Columbus City. Born in Chase County, Mo., Sept. 15, 1881, she was the daughter of William and Mattie Ruth Hawkins. She was married to John T. Voight, in Topeka, Kansas. He died Aug. 14, 1908. On Oct. 13, 1919, she married James H. Fisher. He died July 17, 1960.

Survivors include one son, James F. Fisher of Keosauqua; two daughters, Mrs. Delbert Sayre of Keosauqua and Mrs. Rodney Bates of Littleton, Ill.; 11 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
