MRS. LILLIE McQUILLEN

Mrs. Lillie McQuillen, 82, of Farmington, died Thursday, Apr. 24, at 3:40 a.m. in Van Buren County Memorial hospital, Keosauqua. She had been in failing health for some time.

She was born Oct. 5, 1886 at Ida Grove, the daughter of Joseph and Emma Griffin Shorette. She spent her childhood in Dixon, Ill.

On Feb. 19, 1921, at Chicago, Ill., she spent most of her life in Chicago. She moved to Farmington in 1960 from Dixon, Ill.

Mrs. McQuillen was a member of St. Boniface Roman catholic church in Farmington and its Altar and Rosary Society.

Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Gilma Beaty of Farmington; a brother, Leslie Shorette, Bonaparte; a granddaughter, Mrs. Donald Holderman; three great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a sister in infancy.

The funeral service was held Monday, Apr. 28, at 9 a.m. in St. Boniface Roman catholic church, Farmington, with the Rev. Anthony Geerts officiating. Burial was in Oakwood cemetery at Dixon, Ill. Recitation of the Rosary was held Sunday at 7 p.m.

Miller's Home for Funerals in Farmington was in charge of arrangements.
