Goldie Thompson

Goldie Thompson, 74-year-old life resident of Salem, died at 5 a.m. Sunday, April 6 at Colonia Manor nursing home at Wheatland.

She was the daughter of Charles and Martha McMasters Thompson, and was born July 8, 1894. She was a member of the Salem American Legion auxiliary and of the former Salem Methodist church.

Surviving are brothers and sisters, Lowell Dee Thompson of Racine, Wisc., Johny K. Thompson of Mountain Home, Ark., Gilbert Thompson of Frederick, S. Dak., Milo Thompson of Salem, Mrs. Annie Stafford of Bloomfield and Mrs. Mary Morris of Mt. Pleasant.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, April 9 at 11 a.m. at the Beatty Chapel, Salem. The Rev. James Thomson officiated. Burial was in Salem East cemetery.
