Mrs. Roy Thomas

Mrs. Esther Thomas, 51, died about 9 p.m. Monday, Feb. 17 in Memorial Hospital at Keosauqua, where she had been a heart patient for three weeks.

She was the daughter of Ezra and Estella McGowan Batholomew, born near Bentonsport Aug. 8, 1917.

She was married to Roy Thomas of near Keosauqua, he survives.

Also surviving are three sons, Gary and Robert of Mt. Pleasant and Donnie in California. There are three brothers, Fuller Bartholomew of Keosauqua, Clark Bartholomew of Farmington and Oscar Bartholomew in Washington State; five sisters, Mrs. Eliza Gordon, Mrs. Lavanche Benedict, Mrs. Kate Arnold, Mrs. Madeline Huff, all of Keosauqua, and Mrs. Lena Belle Gares of Bonaparte. There are nine grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Thursday afternoon, Feb. 20 at 2 P.M. at Center Chapel Methodist Church with the Rev. Millard H. Marshall of Keosauqua officiating. Burial will be in Center Chapel Cemetery.
