Mrs. Bertha Conrad

Mrs. Bertha Conrad, 77, of Cantril, died Jan. 30 at 5:30 p.m. in Van Buren county hospital, Keosauqua.

She was born Feb. 8, 1891, at Conmel, Ireland, the daughter of William Henry and Anna Marie Wier Warren. She came to the U.S. in 1924. On Feb. 8, 1925, she was married to Arthur Conrad at Cantril. He died in 1964.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Joyce Howell, Chatsworth, Ill.; and Mrs. Grace Graber, Fairfield; a son, John Conrad, Aroma Park, Ill.; a sister, Mrs. Ethel Lait in England; 13 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Services were held Saturday, Feb. 1 at 2 p.m. at the Catcott Funeral Home, Keosauqua. Burial was in Fellows cemetery.
