Mrs. Anna H. Palmer

Mrs. Anna H. Palmer, 84, of Farmington rural route, died Tuesday, Jan. 7 at 7:30 a.m. in Sacred Heart hospital, Fort Madison, after a lengthy illness.

She was born April 15, 1884, in Gorin, Mo., the daughter of Henry and Dora Arnold Walters.

Her marriage to Alpha Palmer took place June 14, 1904 at Gorin, Mo. He preceded her in death.

She had been a resident of the Farmington community since 1950. Mrs. Palmer was a member of the Farmington Baptist church and the Royal Neighbors of America.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Lester (Dorinne) Mohr of Farmington and Mrs. Richard (Edith) Smith of Perry, Ill.; two brothers, Albert Walters of Hugo, Colo. and Carl Walters of Marceline, Mo.; two sisters, Miss Amelia Walters and Mrs. Edith Marshall, both of Gorin, Mo.; five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Besides her husband, she was also preceded in death by a brother and a granddaughter.

The funeral service will be Friday, Jan. 10 at 1 p.m. in the Farmington Baptist church with the Rev. Ronald Cochran officiating. Burial will be in Gorin cemetery, Gorin, Mo.

The body is at Millers Home for Funerals in Farmington.
