Albert H. Crocker

Funeral services for Albert H. Crocker, 61, of Chariton were held Monday, Jan. 20 in Chariton with burial there.

Mr. Crocker was a high school sports official in southern Iowa for 30 years and died early Friday, Jan. 17 at Iowa Methodist Hospital in Des Moines.

Keosauqua was among towns in Iowa where Mr. Crocker taught and coached, and he serves as master of ceremonies at the 25th reunion of the Keosauqua class of 1942 at Keosauqua in 1967.

He remained active in officiating until about a year ago and was drivers education instructor at Chariton High School, where he formerly coaches. He had also taught at Lamoni and Moravia.

Mr. Crocker had been ill since suffering a stroke last Aug. 31. He had been a longtime active member of the Masonic Lodge and was serving as treasurer of the Grand Lodge of Iowa.

Surviving are his widow, Arlene; one son, Brandt of Des Moines; one brother, Oliver of Des Moines.
