Mrs. George Plowman

Mrs. Leatha Plowman, daughter of William and Myrtle Kelly Robbins, was born Jan. 6, 1910, at Bonaparte, and departed this life Tuesday, Jan. 14, 1969, at the Van Buren County Memorial Hospital in Keosauqua at the age of 59.

On Dec. 25, 1925, she was married to C. Clyde Earls. He passed away on Nov. 2, 1926. On Jan. 1, 1932, she was married to George Plowman, who preceded her in death on March 14, 1964.

Remaining to mourn her passing are a son, Robert Plowman, of Council Bluffs, daughter-in-law, JoAnn and a grandson, Robert Frank Plowman. Also surviving are two brothers, Dan Robbins of Keosauqua and Harold Robbins of Mt. Sterling and two sisters, Mrs. O.D. Archer of Ottumwa and Mrs. Don Schultz of Burlington, a number of nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Mrs. Plowman will be remembered as an affectionate mother and grandmother and as a good neighbor.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, Jan. 15, 1969, at 2 p.m. at the Pedrick Funeral Home in Douds, with the Rev. Dennis Nicholson, United Methodist pastor officiating. Pall bearers were Stephen Carr, Bruce Harryman, Jr., Theodore Plowman, James Dick, Marvin Roush and Lloyd Polson. Interment was in the Purdom Cemetery at Keosauqua.
