David Cale, 62, of rural Cantril, was fatally injured Friday, Nov. 22 when a pickup truck being driven by his wife crashed into a parked milk truck in Ft. Madison.

Cale died en route to University Hospitals in Iowa City after the accident.

The victim was thrown through the windshield of the pickup by the collision. Mrs. Cale was taken to Sacred Heart Hospital in Ft. Madison where her condition was reported as fair.

The milk truck, belonging to Albert L. Helling of rural Madison, was parked while he was making a delivery.

Mr. Cale was born July 5, 1906, near Montrose, a son of Albert and Margaret Elizabeth Warehime Cale. He married Evelyn Davolt in Ft. Madison on March 2, 1928. He was a farmer and laborer and a retired minister of the Church of God.

Surviving are his wife; two brothers, Kenneth of Montrose, and Albert, Jr., of Dearborn, Mo.; four sisters, Mrs. Mary McLearn, Montrose; Mrs. Rose Howren and Mrs. Leon Weirather, Keokuk, and Mrs. Harry Henke, Longview, Texas; several nieces and nephews.

Services for Mr. Cale were held at 2:00 P.M. Monday at Barr Memorial Chapel, Ft. Madison, the Rev. Leo Hanks officiating. Burial was in Oakland Cemetery.
