JOHN H. HAYNES

John Henry Haynes, son of Ellen Rambo and Henry Haynes, was born August 6, 1906 at Richland, Iowa and passed away at the Van Buren County Memorial Hospital on Oct. 11, after being hospitalized one and one-half weeks and in failing health for six years. He had been a resident of Van Buren County for 37 years, 21 of whih had been spent in Bonaparte, Iowa.

On June 10, 1931, he was united in marriage to Lucille Marie Martin of Fairfield. To this union was born two sons and one daughter.

Mr. Haynes had worked for the Barker Equipment Company for 13 years, having retired from there three years ago.

He is survived by his wife Lucille; two sons, John Henry Jr. of Bonaparte and Jesse Louis of Hillsboro; one daughter, Betty Bell of Fairfield; 12 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

His parents, five sisters, three brothers and one granddaughter preceded him in death.

Funeral services were held Sunday, Oct. 13 at the Catcott Funeral Home in charge of Rev. Dwight C. Bonham. Burial was in the Bonaparte Cemetery.
