Found Dead in a Well

The body of Nettie Hoskins, a maiden lady about 40 years of age, was found in the well on her adopted father’s farm, four miles west of Keosauqua. The lady was missed from the house, and her adopted father, Harrison Hoskins, immediately instituted search for her, resulting in finding the body as above stated. It has not been determined whether the death was suicidal or accidental. The former view is gaining ground because of the fact that her adopted mother died a few weeks ago, and Miss Hoskins may have taken her life through despondency.
