CORA PICKERING

Mrs. Cora Pickering, 93, of Keosauqua, died Monday at 7 p.m. at Van Buren County Memorial hospital, Keosauqua. She had been a resident of the Davis Nursing Home.

She was born Sept. 22, 1872, in Ollie, the daughter of Riley and Lucinda Pierce Fye. Dec. 24, 1896, she married Orville Pickering. He died June 9, 1958.

Surviving: A son, Edward of Keosauqua; five daughters, Mrs. Maggie Chacey and Mrs. Daisy McIntire, Fairfield, Mrs. Blanche Goode, Cassadage, Fla., Mrs. Earl Hall, Sacramento, Calif., and Mrs. Martin Syfert, Meeteetse, Wyo.; a brother, Glen of Riverside, Calif., several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at Rock Creek church near Ollie; burial at the church cemetery.
