WESLEY L. SHRIVER

Wesley Lawrence Shriver, son of John and May Phillips Shriver, passed away July 30 at Van Buren County Memorial Hospital in Keosauqua.

He united with the Mt. Sterling, Ia. Methodist church while a young man.

He was married to Hazel Clark on Oct. 3, 1914 and to this union, two children, Earl Ross and Imogene, were born, all of whom have preceded him in death.

On Oct. 21, 1931, he was united in marriage to Mary E. Cole and to this union was born one son, John Homer.

Survivors include his wife; the son, John and his wife, Janet; two granddaughters; one step-husband, Arthur; one sister, Mrs. Frank Troutman of Bonaparte, nieces, nephews and a host of friends.

Also preceding him in death were his parents, three brothers and one step-son.

Funeral services were held on Monday, Aug. 1, at 2 p.m. at the Providence Baptist church, south of Cantril. Burial was in the cemetery at the Center Chapel church.
