GUY M. PRITCHARD

Funeral services for Guy M. Pritchard, 74, of Hillsboro, who passed away Friday noon, May 6 in Veterans Hospital, Iowa City, were held at the Hillsboro Christian Church, Monday, May 9, 1966 at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Chester Werft officiating.

Music was provided by Mrs. Faye Clark, organist, and Mrs. Forrest Fuhrer, soloist.

Bearers were Willis Davis, John Fleming, L.T. Harlan, Elmer Johnson, Delbert Loving and Craig Smart.

Interment was in the Moss Ridge Cemetery, Carthage, Ill. with graveside services at 3:30 p.m. with the Hoaglin American Legion Post from Hillsboro in charge. Beatty Funeral Chapel of Salem was in charge of arrangements.

He is survived by his wife, Freda, and five daughters, Mrs. Paul (Dorothy) Boyd, Marcus, Iowa; Mrs. Jim (Gail) Nelson, Ottumwa; Mrs. Dale (Marguerite) Coorts, Kansas City, Mo.; Mrs. Harry (Pauline) Dannenbring, Burlington, and Mrs. David (Jane) Phillips, Burlington; and 13 grandchildren.

Mr. Pritchard was born May 12, 1891, the son of William and Jane Munson Pritchard in Carthage. On Dec. 1, 1920 he was married to Freda Schamper at Charles City, Iowa. He had lived in the Hillsboro community the past 35 years and was a retired farmer. He was a World War I veteran, a member of the Hoaglin American Legion Post, and the Christian Church of Stockport.

He was predeceased by his parents, one brother and two sisters.
