REX VALE

Rex Vale, son of John Monroe and Minnie Chaplin Vale was born on a farm northeast of Cantril, July 2, 1906 and passed away at his home early Tuesday morning, May 17, 1966 at the age of 59 years 10 months and 15 days.

His mother died when he was eight days old. An aunt, Alice Vale halped rear him and his brother and sister.

When a little more than five years of age his family moved to the farm, a mile north of Mt. Sterling, which Rex himself later owned and where he lived until the time of his death. Thus most of his life was spent in the Mt. Sterling community.

Rex was a farmer, a hunter, and a good sportsman. He loved the great outdoors. He loved plants, animals and people aspecially(sp) . . . . .
