Mrs. Bertie Purcell

Funeral services for Mrs. Bertie Purcell, 96, of Bonaparte was held Monday, Apr. 18, at 2 p.m. in the Bonaparte Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Wayne Lowry officiating. Burial was in the Farmington cemetery. Miller's Home for Funerals in Farmington was in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Purcell died Saturday, April 16, at 4:30 p.m. in the Hainline Nursing Home at Bonaparte where she had been a patient since Mar. 27.

She was born Nov. 18, 1867 in Farmington, the daughter of Gustav and Johanna Sipple Noske.

In June of 1907 at Farmington she married Harry Purcell. He died in 1917.

She was a former resident of Excelsior Springs, Mo. and Ochiltree, Texas, where she helped her husband run a newspaper.

She was a member of Barbee Memorial Presbyterian church at Excelsior Springs, Mo. She sang in the church choir.

Her only survivors are two nieces and two nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband and five brothers.
