DR. FORREST H. BEGGS

Dr. Forrest H. Beggs, age 83, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 7, 1965 at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville, Ind. He had been a veterinarian at Morgansfield, Ky. for nearly 50 years, having retired a few years ago. He was an active member of the M.E. Church.

Forrest was the oldest child of Jeffrey J. and Amy Wilson Beggs, and lived his boyhood on a farm northwest of Pittsburg, Iowa. He attended country school at the Swiers School and after farming some in Irish Bend, he studied veterinary medicine in Chicago.

Surviving are his wife, Otha Henshaw Beggs, who now lives with their son, Dr. T.J. Beggs of Carrolton, Ky., four daughters, Mrs. Floyd Eckiss, Evansville; Mrs. Lillie Dean, Jackson, Calif; Mrs. Ann Poland of Carrolton and Miss Jane Beggs of Louisville. Another son, Hugh Beggs, Evansville; a sister Lena, of California, and two half-brothers, Hollis Beggs of Keosauqua and Hazen Beggs of South Ottumwa, Iowa. Nine grandchildren and three great grand children.

Services were held in the Methodist Church of Morgansfield, with interment in the cemetery there.
