Claire C. McClure

Claire C. McClure, 81, former Douds and Ottumwa resident, died Wednesday, March 16 at Ontario, California.

He was born at Douds, the son of Dr. and Mrs. T.G. McClure. He moved from Douds 30 years ago to Ottumwa, where he resided until moving to California a few years ago.

He married May Thomas, who survives.

Also surviving is a daughter, Mildred.

Another daughter, Mrs. Florence Orman, who was a nurse at Ottumwa Hospital, preceded him in death.

Mr. McClure was a 50-year member of Celestial Masonic Lodge AF & AM in Douds.

The body was cremated and the ashes will be brought to Ottumwa for burial in May.
