Nellie Daniel

Nellie Daniel, daughter of Frank and Lavina Douglas Story, was born in Clark County Missouri, Aug. 3, 1882, and departed this life March 18, 1966, at the home of her nephew, Kenneth Story in Fairfield, Iowa, with whom she made her home, at the age of 83 years, 7 months and 15 days.

She was married to Louis Daniel and spent several years in Ft. Madison, later moving to Farmington where they lived several years before returning to Ft. Madison.

She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Al (Violet) Henze of Springfield, Illinois; two grandsons, Lloyd Palmerton of Engelwood, Colo., and Everett Palmerton, of Springfield, ill.; two great grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews, and a host of relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, a child in infancy, her parents, nine brothers and two sisters.

Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, March 20 at the Clements Funeral Home in Ft. Madison, Iowa, with the Rev. Fred Rowley officiating. Burial at the Revere, Mo. cemetery.
