MRS. PEARL ALMOND

Funeral services for Mrs. Pearl (Florence) Almond, 78, a lifetime resident of the Salem community, were held Monday, Feb. 7, 1966, at the Beatty Funeral Chapel with Rev. Pat Kelly officiating. Mrs. Almond passed away at Henry County Memorial Hospital, Mt. Pleasant, Saturday afternoon, Feb. 5, where she had been taken earlier in the day.

Music was provided by Mrs. Gordon Watts, organist, and Mrs. Delmar Barton, soloist.

Bearers were Bill Barber, Glen Chatham, Malcom Farr, Forest McVey, Arlo Foss and W.W. Simkin.

Interment was in the Salem East Cemetery.

Mrs. Almond was born March 27, 1887 at Salem and was the daughter of John P. and Martha Joy Edwards.

On Nov. 1, 1905, she was married to Pearl J. Almond.

She is survived by her husband; two sons, Ralph of Salem and Lyman of Mt. Pleasant; one daughter, Mrs. Mandel (Dorothy) Watson of Hillsboro; three granddaughters, (off page), Jane Hudson and Mrs. Joyce Holley and several nieces and nephews.

Her parent three brothers and two sisters preceded her in death.
