OLAN B. TACKABERRY

Olan B. Tackaberry, 65, died Feb 3 at his home in Ft. Madison. The son of Aron Burr and Gertie Gillett Tackaberry, he was born in Scotland County, Mo., Sept. 19, 1900. He came to Cantril, Iowa with his parents when a small boy.

He married Gladys Foster in 1925 in the Little Brown Church at Nashua. They lived in Cantril a few years before moving to Ft. Madison, which was their home 35 years. He was a member of the Masonic and Eastern Star orders at Cantril and a former member of the Methodist church at Cantril.

Survivors include the widow and two children, Duane of Cedar Rapids and Mary of Marengo; also three grandchildren and one sister, Mrs. Phillip Weston, Detroit, Mich.

Funeral service was held at 2 p.m. Sunday in Hall Funeral Home, Ft. Madison with the Rev. Fred Rowley, pastor of the Santa Fe Methodist church officiating. Burial was in Hillcrest Memorial Park, Ft. Madison.
