LEWIS LEIGHTON

Mr. Lewis Leighton, former resident of the Selma, Eldon community died at 11:3O a.m. Monday, February 7, 1966 in Davenport. Mr. Leighton was born in 1878 in Keokuk, there he married Miss Maude Carss in 1901. Mrs. Leighton died January 23, 1963. To this union were born 5 children, Mrs. Viola Wells of Davenport, Mrs. Beulah Orman of Union Grove, Wisc., Edward Leighton of Springfield, Ill., Allan Leighton of Selma, Ala., and Millie who died in infancy. The Reverend Glen Lathrop officiated the service held Wednesday the 9th at 2:00 p.m. in Keokuk. Burial was in the Buren Vista cemetery.
