MRS. ANNA LANE

Mrs. Anna Lane passed away Jan. 19, 1966 at 8:45 p.m. at her home in Stockport, Iowa. Her age was 93 years, 9 months and 27 days. She had been in failing health six or eight months and seriously ill the last six weeks.

Last rites were held at the Methodist Church in Stockport on Saturday, Jan. 22 at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Ora Reep in charge. The music was presented by Mrs. John Hoffer, organist and Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Thye of Burlington, vocalists. Burial was in Spencer Cemetery.

Anna Maria Jacobs was born March 23, 1872, three miles west of Stockport, the daughter of Andrew J. Jacobs and Anna Maria Jordan. She was the youngest of eight children, having six brothers and one sister, who all preceded her in death. She was united in marriage to Wilson C. Lane Dec. 31, 1891. He died Nov. 19, 1943. To this union was born one daughter and five sons, of which four survive: Mrs. Ira Anderson, Dewey, A.J., and Frank Lane, all of Stockport. Two sons, preceded her in death, Harry on Dec. 3, 1945 and Joe on Nov. 15, 1964.

Also surviving are 15 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild and a host of relatives and friends.

She was a member of the Methodist Church and the W.S.C.S. and took an active part in them for quite a number of years. She lived her entire life in the Stockport Community.
