OBITUARIES

STANLEY GARDNER

Stanley Gardner, 54, Burlington, died Monday, Jan. 24, at 3:15 a.m. in Burlington hospital.

He was born March 10, 1911, in Bonaparte, the son of Guy and Ethel Huff Gardner. Jan. 12, 1934 he married Joy Rebecca Morris at Rock Island, Ill. He was the produce manager of Carl's Big Value in Burlington and a member of Eagles lodge at Fairfield. He was formerly of Macomb, Ill.

Surviving are his wife; two sons, Ronald of Seattle, Wash. and James of Galesburg, Ill.; a daughter, Mrs. Janet Chard of Galesburg; two grandchildren; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Guy Gardner of Stockport; and a brother, Harold of Davenport.

Services will be held Wednesday, Jan. 26 at 1:30 p.m. at the Stockport Methodist church with the Rev. John Collins and Rev. John Collins and Rev. Ora Reep officiating. Burial will be in the Spencer cemetery near Stockport.
