OBITUARIES

MRS. EVA E. ANDERSON

Eva E. Anderson, 83, passed away Jan. 29, 1966 in Tacoma, Washington. She was born in Granger, Mo., April 10, 1882, the daughter of Ira B. and Jennetta Stewart.

She was united in marriage with Owen C. Anderson, on Sept. 26, 1906 at Bonaparte, Iowa. Her husband preceded her in death just seven months ago, on June 30, 1965.

To this union six children were born, all of who survive, Roy F. Anderson of West Chester, Iowa; Fern O. Anderson, of Bonaparte, Iowa; Mrs. Oscar (Keo) Bartholomew of Buckley, Washington; Gerald K. Anderson of Olympia, Wash.; Harold K. Anderson of Tacoma, Wash.; Mrs. Robert (Freda) Burke of Puyallup, Wash. Fifteen grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren; a sister, Miss Bessie Steward of Bentonsport, Iowa, and two nieces and a nephew, Mrs. Claude (Evelyn) McChonchie of Galesburg, Ill., Mrs. Leland (Gladys) Liby, of Monmouth, Ill. and Alve Droe of Keokuk, Iowa; a sister-in-law, Mrs. Otis Stewart of Fort Madison and several nieces and nephews of her marriage. She was preceded in death by two sisters and a brother, Mrs. Grace Droe, Mrs. Mattie Murphy, Otis Stewart, and a sister and brother who died in infancy.

She lived most of her life in Van Buren County, retiring from farming with her husband at Stockport, Iowa, in December of 1947 and moved to Tacoma, Wash. at that time.

Services were held at the Mountain View Garden Chapel at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 2. Rev. Bruce G. Parker officiated at the services. Interment was in the Mountain View Memorial Park. Pallbearers were Glen and Dale Bartholomew, Gayle and Gary Burke.
