Mrs. Berlin E. Evans

Mrs. Berlin Elizabeth Evans, 91, of Farmington, died Sunday, Feb. 27, at 4:40 p.m. in the Farmington Rest Home after a lengthy illness.

She was the daughter of George B. and Elizabeth Sparmun Clements, born Sept. 12, 1874 on the ship after which she was named, the Berlin, on the Atlantic ocean enroute to the United States.

She spent her childhood in Carbon Hill, Ohio and also was a resident of Brazil, Iowa before moving to Farmington in 1905.

On Nov. 12, 1891 at Plank Road, Mo., she married Albert Evans. He died in 1926. She was a member of the Baptist church at Farmington. Surviving are two sons, Ernest Evans and Albert Evans, and one daughter Mrs. Lourena Delker, all of Farmington; one sister, Mrs. Cecelia DeVevera of Saginaw, Mich.; and 9 grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, 3 sisters, 2 sons, Lloyd and William and one great-grandchild.

Funeral service will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. in the Baptist church with the Rev. Ronald Hutchings officiating. Burial will be in Farmington cemetery.
