HARRY DeWITT

Harry C. DeWitt, 65, of 201 S. Willard died March 24 at 6:30 a.m. in his home.

He was a retired John Deere Ottumwa Works employee and from 1962 until 1973 was owner and operator of A-1 Locksmith Service.

He was born April 1, 1912, at Stockport to Frank and Frances Ankrum DeWitt, lived in Ottumwa most of his life, was a Army World War II veteran and was a member of Stockport Christian Church and Empire Masonic Lodge of Ottumwa. He married Audrey E. Jameson Feb. 16, 1933, at Kahoka, Mo.

Survivors: his wife; a son, Donald of Berkley Heights, N.J.; a daughter, Nancy Pickrell of Ottumwa; eight grandchildren; a brother Ed of Stockport; and a sister, Edna Flack of Waterloo.

Services: 1:30 Monday in Johnson Funeral Chapel, Leonard Weaver, former first reader of First Church of Christ, Scientist, officiating. Burial: Shaul Cemetery with American Legion military services. The casket will be closed at the beginning of the service.

Masonic services: 7:30 p.m. Sunday at the funeral chapel.
